Mini WSM out of a Jumbo Joe ( build video )

Here's a link. Concord makes a few different models but this is the one I got.

Wow, that's expensive. The idea of turning a Jumbo Joe into a smoker is really tempting considering how well my MiniWSM works but in this case, I don't think it make sense cost wise? $60 for the JJ, $100 for the pot, probably around $50 for the additional parts. For that kind of money I can buy a new or slightly used 18" WSM's off of Craigslist. I see them all the time on CL for $200-$250. Here's a brand new one on my local CL for $240... http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/app/4541478293.html

Well, it wouldn't be so bad if you already had the Jumbo Joe or find an old 18.5 in kettle for sale cheap, I recently missed one at a garage sale for $10 by just a couple of minutes.

I just watched the video, thanks for posting. This is a great build that I'd love to do so long as I could find a WJJ for dirt cheap. I love the fact that you masked the stainless pot before you painted it.
