Turkey sales?

When do the post thanksgiving sales usually start? I checked my local Kroger after work Monday and it was still 1.19/lb with the Kroger card. I was looking to snap up a couple on the cheap to freeze and smoke later.

They started before Thanksgiving here in the mid-Atlantic. We had them selling for $0.59 per pound in at least three different supermarket chains. That price was for a frozen turkey. Wegman's supermarket had fresh turkeys for $0.79 per pound. I am pretty sure that in every case, you needed to have the store's loyalty card in order to get the sale price.

right after TG they drop to $0.59, then went further down to $0.29 the beginning of this week, I scored two 20lb fresh birds for that price on Monday .. I doubt if there is any left as there were less than 10 at Costco

On Saturday after Thanksgiving, I got a natural unenhanced turkey for $0.99 per pound - marked down from $1.69.
