Fruit Injection Recipe

Tried this over the weekend . Tastes pretty darn good. Adds a nice sweet flavor to pulled pork

1 cup of white grape juice
2 cans of valle guava juice or something similar(look in the Hispanic section of your grocery)
1 12oz jar of Pineapple preserves
1 12 oz jar of Cherry preserves
1 12 oz jar of strawberry preserves
Cook in pan until simmering and perserves break down. Let cool and strain with cheese cloth. Squeeze the excess fruit out and disgard.
 
Clay, there was enough to inject 5 butts and have about 1 to 2 cups left over. I didn't even think of that I just dumped what was left. You could definitely taste the fruit undertones in the pulled pork.You can sub any type of preserves you'd like.
