    HM 4.2.4 3D Printed Case

I just don't have time for it anymore. Work has invaded my life, but in a good way. New projects and opportunities which have made for long days. And then there's school, family and work around the house. All this leaves little time for the 'fun stuff'. Case in point: I printed off some...

    RaspberryPi B+ Supported? No!

It's a shame there's no ADC in all that new GPIO.

    heatermeter ripoff?

Bryan, I'm pretty sure we could pull something together. Someone in the tri-state area has to have a BGE or similar already modded for an HM. What I don't know about is how NYFD handles anything with open flame @ the hall of science - I do know they're strict.

    heatermeter ripoff?

The Tappencue Team from KC. They designed a wireless BBQ temp sensor. #makerfairekc http://t.co/O1M9Zgi3kO Saw this and said ***? http://www.tappecue.com/ Bryan, you need to come up for world maker faire in september and blow some people away with the HM.

    HM v4.1 3D printed case

I just weighed one and it came in at 73g. But it depends on the amount of infill that's used. It should weigh less than 100g. How much are they charging per gram?

    Off topic.. 3D printer recomendations

Yeah, both the creator and creator x have dual-heads. Creator x has the metal chassis, which is nice. Read the reviews for both. Even the negative reviews seem to be handled really well by their support team.

I've heard some folks having good luck with the Flash Forge Creator. It comes in right at your price point too. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B008CM2TCU/tvwb-20 It's essentially a makerbot replicator clone from China. I have a sneaking suspicion that they have access to and are...

Extruder and hotend problems can be notoriously difficult to diagnose - so many things can go wrong. First things first. Strip the extruder down to bare parts. I know this sucks to do, but it'll track the problem down. first verify the wiring connections between the hotend and ramps are good...

I can't say enough good things about moving to a 120VAC heated bed. From power on to print is about 90 seconds. Totally worth it

I doubt you have irreparably harmed RAMPS - it's pretty hard to do as it's simply an interface (unless you've done something terrible). How did you jumper the VCC and 5V holes? soldered in a wire? you haven't bridged anything else by accident, have you? That'd be the first thing I check...

Misumi is an automation components store. They carry alot of extrusion, as well as linear and rotary motion components. Basically, if you want to build a machine it's a great place to get your structural components. Some of their stuff can be a bit pricey, but on average they're a good deal...

Brian - yep. bowden + coreXY will be fast. http://www.flickr.com/photos/116032124@N07/12243292086/ And yeah, the main advantage is no more moving bed. A secondary advantage is that the X and Y motors are sharing the load of moving the printhead, which should lead to fewer lost steps...

It's strange, I've not seen a huge amount about the MM2.0. It's either the users are really happy with it and don't complain/ask questions where I browse, or the adoption rate has been slow. It looks like a good machine though.

I am finalizing the XY motion layout on a new corexy implementation this week, moving to the Z-axis this weekend. At this point trying to decide whether to make it a reprap or a 3D printer. Leaning toward cutting as much on my shapeoko as possible and printing only what I have to. Some...
