First Cook on the JJ Pork and C-Flower

You must have the ash pan sitting on top of the 3 tabs then. The pan goes under those tabs and they hold it down against the legs. It fits pretty tight and actually works well when you get it under the tabs. I had the same problem at first until I realized I was putting the pan on wrong.

    Weber lighting cubes very smokey

This is exactly what I do, burns clean with very little ash. I've tried the cubes and they work well but I didn't like the mess they make trying to pop them out of the tray. Never noticed a plastic smell or excessive smoke though.

Blue K more stable than Stubbs?

I used to use stubbs for direct grilling and kbb for long cooks. Now I just use stubbs for everything, I just can't stand the smoke from kbb anymore. It's almost like I loose my sense of taste and smell when I breath in the smoke when lighting it. The stubbs just smells like wood burning.

    New Thermapen

Thanks. I saw that on the website where it says made in England, but I wasn't sure since it was right above the picture to click to purchase the older model. I found a picture of the back of one of the new models online and it does for sure say made in the UK.

Best place to position a thermometer on a webber kettle

I guess the pros decided they were wrong. I still don't like the way they moved the vent and thermometer, wish they would have left it alone. I just can't get used to using my new performer.
