    New Pricing info - kinda

I may be a little off but I think that for $500, I would probably save up another $200 and go with something like a Treager or something like that. T o me, the $499(500) seems to be the breaking point between home/hobby/competition cookers and the expense of the larger Fast Eddy or Treager type...

    SJP Mod Complete

Anybody have a parts list to do this mod? I'd like to use the One Touch parts to do this. I need to order a couple of parts to fix a WSM that had an "accident" thanks to my son and his John Deere Gator Ride-on toy the other day and figured I'd just get all the parts at the same time.

    Anyone stack 2 WSMs?

I was wondering, now that I have 2 WSMs how it would be to cook on them by stacking one barrel over the other. Has anyone else done this? I would have to remove the top grate screws from the bottom barrel to allow the stacked cook area to slip down into the other. I was wondering about...

    Costco or Sam's Club

If anyone here has Showtime, I would recommend catching the last episode of the Penn & Teller show. They were talking about WalMart and discussing alot of the information out there reguarding the way they treat their employees. I'll admit, it was the first time I ever saw the show but I have...

    NU Temp reading HHH?

It's probably more likely a malfunctioning probe. Have you tried switching probes if you have another one? I've had it happen before with one of mine and discovered the probe was bad. It read high initially though, not after an hour of use.

    Need a GOOD Injector

I picked up a stainless steel injector from Lowe's not too long ago. It was over in the area where they sold the grilling and turkey friers. Works pretty good.

    Royal oak charcoal burn time

Were you using the charcoal or the Lump for your cook? I haven't used the charcoal before so I don't have any real experience with it. I use the lump all the time. THe lump works great. You just have to watch for occasional spikes and keep it pretty well packed when your first loading it so...

Overnight smoke...chance of rain...can I smoke on the porch?

Alot also depends on how far away from ANY potentially flamable material the smoker will be. You said your porch has cement so it's not a risk of the coals dropping on the floor and catching your house on fire. Is there a chance the WSM could be blown over and catch the house on fire? If so...

    Minion method, wood only

I haven't ever really used an all wood burn myself but I hae cooked with people who do use stick burners. Most of them will only use the Charcoal just to develop the inital coal bed and from there on, use strickly wood. Like you mentioned in the post you do it with your wood stove and with an...

    What's your favorite "Pre-Made/Commercial" Rubs?

I use alot of stuff from HomeBBQ.com. I've met Kevin and his wife Clara a few timesaround my neck of the woods in Florida. He does the circuit and scores pretty well with consistency. He sells the same rubs he uses. He also has his own website thats more a forum than a sales magnet. Check'em...

    Kingsford bags

Like Darrel said, you have to start with the ed of the weave that has the "tail" on it. Back out the first strand inside the knot, I usually use the tip of my pocketknife blade, and after that you can pretty much pull the string through like a pro. It does take a little practice to be able to...

    21.5-hour cook with new Kingsford

I think I've had fairly good luck with the new K in my WSM. I've gone about 18+ hours with mine doing the minion method and just filling the ring to level. WHat I do have trouble with is my Brinkman Smoke King Deluxe, getting a temp up and staying there. I have to mix in lump with the new K...

    Weber Charcoal Chimney

Try this idea. I use it and think it's even better than the starter gels and such. You need: 2 soda cans cutting and punching tool Denatured Alcohol Cutt the two cans in half so you have the top and bottom. Use the two bottoms to create your burner. Cut one of the bottoms up the side so it...

A better way to light off your Chimney

I've seen lately on forums and heard on radio programs, what seems like a large increas in chimney users. They are all told the same thing, to use Newspaper to light their coals. That's fine in the beginning but I wanted to post something that was shown to me by another and I wanted to pass it...
