    I bought a butt and was going to make sausage. had everthing mixed and my grinder went to heck on me so I froze the meat. Finaly got a grinder and made sausage last night. If I cook the sausage do you think i can re-freeze or is that asking for truoble? Thamks

    I stopped at an orchard that had not cleaned up there prunings yet and they said I could have all I wanted. When I got home I started to cut it up and found it rather soft. I had pieces cuttings 2" to 4" in dia. and 4'-5' long I guess the real question is paech considered a hard wood or soft? Mike

    Does anyone use a battery pack to run there Pit Minder or DigiQ?? If so what type and how long can you run? Do you need any kind of adapter to plug into it?? thanks Mike

    ash question

    Just got my Pit Minder with a 10cfm fan last Thursday. Started a butt at 6 pm yesterday and pulled it at 10 am this morning for my daughters birthday party. Had no problem with ash what so ever. I used lump. Mike P.S. It works awsome!!

    Pitminder/DIGIQII fan size

    Thanks for all of your opinions. I settled on the 4cfm due to the fact that I planned on using it mainly for an overnight butt or two. It should be here Monday. Then there will be more questiond I'm sure. Thanks again. Mike

    preparing a pork picnic for smoking

    Bruce I have smoked a few of the picnics and did not trim the first. All others I have trimmed and they turned out much better.Like Kevin mentioned "there goes the bark". I have only injected one and IMO it was not worth it I did not notice much flavor difference. Mike
