If I know about this, I'm sure you will. It looks like Microsoft isn't going to support VB6 beyond Windows 7. Is there any impact?

Thanks Sean. No, it doesn't impact me or Stokerlog. They are discontinuing support of old VB 6 binaries and the development environment for it. As a language, VB is fully supported as evidenced by it being part of Visual Studio 2010.

That said, I plan on rewriting the app in the future and moving on to C#/Silverlight. While I learned programming in basic some 30 years ago, I quickly got onto C programming for the last 20 years of that. So it is ironic that Stokerlog is in VB. Reason for that is that someone write a simple logging app for stoker and I started to modify that, thinking it would be a one day project so no sense in rewriting it. Here I am with a program which has thousands of lines of code 3 years of development time! Smiler
