Now that I know the chicken king is going to be there I may just have to stop by. I guess Randy has backed off on doing comps this year. His kids are doing too many things.

Hello guys,

I have not done any contests this year, the withdrawals have been terrible but I'm being a good Dad this year. Just got my oldest off to college at Austin Peay and I'm coaching my son's baseball, we got into travel baseball this year and both of us love it. We did take off the month of August but it gets back started this weekend again.

I just told my wife yesterday that I need to talk the team out of playing the last weekend of Sept. so I can at least go to Ownesboro. I may show up. I haven't signed up yet but I am going to see if I can this week.

I have missed all my friends on the circuit for sure. I thought about going to a few on Friday evenings just to visit but I knew I would be hooked again.

Good luck to everyone and enjoy.

Sept. 24th-25th. My daughter is coming up from Autin Peay to spend the weekend with me, so that should be fun, she has done a few contests with me over the years but it's been a long time.

WE had a blast. Look out for Hot Racks and BBQ Stacks in the future my fellow competitors. They are on the rise. GREAT neighbors.

Jason got a good call "8th in pork" which is awesome for I think their first Pro comp. Congrats bud. The hook is set!

Randy you have to be one of the most generous guys we have ever met. First rate human being I tell you. Thanks for your friendship and kindness. We love you man!

GC - Bourbon Barrel BBQ
RGC - Perry Brothers & Sons Bar-B-Q

we got 1st in chicken,
19th ribs "ouch",
16th pork "another stinger"
2nd brisket.
If we could only cook a pig. Smiler

We did have a great time, and very pleased with our call in pork. The hook is set and we're already planning for the next one in three weeks. Great to see you guys again. Look forward to many more.

Hello guys, I won the award for having the most fun at a comp. anyway, how's that for winning.

I finished a below average 29th overall with a highlite of 15th in chicken, but I did have more fun than most.

My daughter and her "DA" boyfriend came in Friday afternoon and stayed until clean-up time on Sat. of course, it was like ole times having her help me again. I enjoyed spending time with her.

A big congratulations goes out to the Perry Brothers & Sons for their RGC and just because they are the best neighbors a team could have. Way to go guys.

Same goes for Jason and his team congrats on the call, after that first call you can't wait for the next one.

Phillip and Kathy always do a great job and good friends as well to everyone.

My "win" is just a personal thing I guess. I had to find some humor in it so I didn't get mad or discouraged about my real contest finishes. I did have the biggest smile though and my beer cooler was always close by. This way I can still say I walked away a winner.
