Hello everyone. This is an awesome site! Just picked up my WSM 18.5 a few weeks ago and have done several very successful cooks so far. My step son bought me the smoker for a late fathers day gift. He is from Memphis and was disturbed that I had been using an electric smoker for the past couple of years. I had been thinking about switching to a charcoal smoker but was concerned about how much work it may be compared to the electric smoker. The WSM is every bit as simple ! I can't believe how well this thing maintains temperature without having to mess with it for hours.

Welcome to the board, Ron.

Another Ron from Virginia... perhaps we'll be able to come up with a meal that looks half as good as one from Larry in Virginia.

Have fun.
