Wanted to say hi and thanks to all the members on the forum. Been Q'n with gas my whole life. Tried smoking ribs and a butt a few times with pretty good success, but wanted to try a real smoker. Was gonna pick up a napolean 3 in 1 but thanks to all the info from this site decided on the wsm 22. picked her up today and she's beautiful! Wife picked up some ribs and I,m gonna get some coals. Can't wait to start. I also love the fact it's made in the USA. I'm from Canada but when the states do well so do we. Happy Q,n

Welcome Shawn. You will love that WSM. It chugs away great in our Canadian winters. Now be sure to put some Canadian Pork on that thing and season it.

Well we are getting tired of kicking the worlds butt in hockey so I am spear heading a drive to beat the best in Q'n. JK! Kind of. Fired up my new 22 yesterday and did 4 lbs of wings. Results were awesome. Haven't heard my kids that quiet in a long time! Too busy eating. Did 4 racks of back ribs today and went well but took longer then expected. I must have my cuts mixed up cause I thought backs were 4hrs or so but went for 6hrs and could of probably went for another hour. Having fun learning and appreciate this forum for all the great info.

Welcome Shawn, I like you already! We Shawn's gotta stick together! My friend from Ajax, Pastor Greg Baker from Faithway Baptist passed away last year. I always wanted to visit him there, I still hope to. Get some maple lump charcoal, I hear it's the best! Enjoy your stay. Smiler
