Grilling today seemed normal enough. I did a few old favorites, tri-tip, and marinated boneless chicken breast. I sauced the chicken about three minutes before it is ready to come off with a combination of Sweet Baby Ray's and Uncle Dougie's Wild Mild. As I was slicing some of the chicken to go in a salad, I thought to myself that the sliced tri and the sliced chicken might make an interesting sandwich combo. So a layer of tri slices at the bottom, followed by two layers of chicken slices, topped by another layer of tri-tip. The slices were about 1/8" thick, and made for a delicious sandwich. Good enough that I would make it again. Enjoy your Labor Day!
