Buttermilk Waffles
Dry:
2 cup ap flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1-2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet:
2 cups buttermilk
3 eggs
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine dry ingredients, mix wet ingredients and add to dry till just combined.

In an old kenmore traditional waffle iron, these cook for four minutes (the indicator light does not function). Makes 10-12 waffles.

Blueberry: simply add SMALL fresh blueberries. They can be mixed in the batter or do as I did, just sprinkle a few on top of the batter before closing to bake. Simply wonderful!

Banana Walnut: Cut 1-2 bananas into small cubes add to batter and add pieces of walnuts....

Discover waffles if you haven't had them in a while. Great comfort food. Your family will thank you.
