I'm from Aynor and have more relatives than you can throw a hushpuppy at around that area.

I like everything about your hushpuppy recipe including your additions. But being from a serious corn producing state I have to make sure that there are a few kernels of Illinois sweet corn in my pups. Congrats of the 75! I am trying to get there too.

I made a double batch with peach filling and famous daves sweet and zesty as I didnt have Blues hog on hand. Anyway, thanks for the recipie it was awsome everyone loved it.

I made these last night and they are fantastic!
I had one problem though...
LOTS of "fragmentation". Little bitty hushpuppies floating around, separated from the big ones.
Could be batter falling off the spoon, could be my batter was a little wet (I did add the extra dry ingredients).
Any comments on how to avoid this in the future?
