I tried the indirect method on my Q220 for the first time. Here's how I set it up.

Two layers of foil under a cooling rack. I put the cedar plank on the cooling rack and cooked on high for about 15 minutes.

Came out great.

Hi Bill
The Q does Cedar Planked salmon fantastically. I never worry about the foil I just do it straight on the grill, I will have to try with the foil and see if it makes any difference.
I found that by lightly brushing with some Dijon mustard after brining and before cooking added a different dimension to the flavour and gave the smoke something to adhere to.

Cheers
