6lb ham loaf (i used a ready to eat ham loaf kinda like spam) not the frozen kind !!
mustard
brown sugar
rub (whatever you have around to use up)
apple and hickory wood chunks
beer

cut criss cross slits in the ham loaf about a quarter to half inch deep on three sides, slather it with mustard then the rub and then just a little more mustard to mix in rub.. then it getts messier yet.. pack some brown sugar on three sides an put in a shallow pan.. pour beer beside ham in the pan because sugar will burn on pan if you dont.. add more beer if needed after 2 hours ,smoke about 250 to 300 degrees for about 3 hours.. then take off and let cool for a couple of minutes.. then slice it for sanwiches and take these back to the wsm.. take your grate and put it right on the charcoal ring over hot charcoal and grill these slices .. temperatures will vary so watch them close !! done !!

this is very inexpensive to make compared to most q, and will feed a crowd cheap like butts but faster n easier !!
